But, just any snack won’t do here at Nut Kreations. Our squirrels demand healthy snacks for the office to keep up with their active lifestyles. Here are the give healthy snacks they want to see in the office, and what we recommend you always keep at your desk.
Seeds are the perfect snack because they are naturally full of fiber, which helps keep you full. Seeds are also low enough in calories to fit into any diet. Seeds from pumpkins, sunflowers, squash and many other plants can be turned into a delicious snack.
Our pumpkin seeds come both raw and roasted & salted. If you’re worried about your salt intake, stick to the savory raw pumpkin seeds, if you’re looking for more flavor, go with the perfectly crunchy roasted & salted pepitas. A quarter cup of pumpkin seeds will keep you full for a couple of hours while only setting you back about 150 calories.

Dried Fruits
Fruit is a great snack to have at your desk at all times. But as some of our worker squirrels who went on vacation found out the hard way, fresh fruit will go bad if you leave it out for long enough. The solution is simply, dried fruit. It will stay fresh in your desk for long periods of time, never loses its sweetness, and is still filling and delicious.
A cup of dried apple rings have under 150 calories and five grams of fiber. Not an apple fan? A third of a cup of dried cranberries clocks in at under 125 calories. These are sure to get you through the afternoon and to dinner without a problem.
Almonds
Nuts, especially almonds, should be your go-to snack. A 1-ounce serving of almonds -- about 23 whole almonds -- has just 163 calories. Almonds are a great source of protein and satisfying healthy fats. They contain nine essential nutrients; have the highest rate of proteins when compared to other nuts; have the highest rate of fiber when compared to other nuts; are rich in Vitamin E; and contain monounsaturated fats that help increase HDL levels.
